Who I Am

I’m Jennie, a qualified reflexologist working from my private treatment space in Corringham, Essex. I am committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal data is handled safely, respectfully, and in line with current data protection laws (UK GDPR & Data Protection Act 2018).

What Information I Collect

When you book a treatment or attend a session, I may collect the following personal data:

  • Name, address, phone number, and email
  • Medical history and current health conditions
  • Lifestyle information (e.g., stress levels, sleep, diet)
  • GP contact details (in case of emergency)
  • Treatment records and progress notes

Why I Collect Your Data

I collect this information to:

  • Deliver safe, personalised treatments based on your health and wellbeing
  • Monitor treatment progress and adapt care as needed
  • Communicate with you regarding bookings or follow-up
  • Comply with insurance and professional standards

How Your Data Is Stored

Your information is stored securely in one or more of the following ways:

  • Paper records kept in a locked filing cabinet
  • Digital notes stored on a password-protected device and/or secure, encrypted cloud storage
    I never share your data with third parties unless legally required or in a medical emergency (e.g. with your GP and only with your consent).

How Long I Keep Your Data

Client records are retained for 7 years after your last treatment, or until age 25 for under-18s, in accordance with industry guidelines. After that, records are securely deleted or shredded.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request to see the data I hold about you
  • Ask for corrections if anything is inaccurate
  • Withdraw your consent at any time (note: this may affect my ability to provide treatments and make insurance claims)

Therapists Rights

Please note:  If you don’t agree to your therapist keeping records of information about you and your treatments, or if you don’t allow them to use the information in the way they need to for treatments, the therapist may not be able to treat you  

Your therapist has to keep your records of treatment for a certain period as described above, which may mean that even if you ask them to erase any details about you, they might have to keep these details until after that period has passed  

Your therapist can move their records between their computers and IT systems, as long as your details are protected from being seen by others without your permission.

How to complain
