about me

Hi, I'm Jennie

Hi, I’m Jennie.

I’m based in Corringham, Thurrock (South Essex), where I work from my peaceful garden studio — tucked away from the main house, warm, welcoming, and designed to help you switch off, feel safe, and simply be.  My aim is always the same: to help you feel relaxed, cared for, and most importantly… like you again.

First and foremost, I’m a mum, wife, daughter, and sister. Like so many of us, I’ve spent years spinning plates — balancing family life, work, and everything in between. There have been times when I’ve felt, if I’m honest, completely depleted. Life can be overwhelming, and I’ve learned the hard way that you can’t pour from an empty cup. We hold up so many others don’t we, yet our own wellbeing seems to always be at the bottom of the list.

Life has a gentle way of nudging you in new directions, though. About seven years ago, after losing a loved one very dear to me, I began exploring holistic therapies as a way to find peace and healing. I discovered sound baths, meditation, yoga retreats, and breathwork, and through those experiences, I realised the importance of caring for yourself — not just everyone else. It was a turning point, and reflexology was what truly resonated with me. It felt deeply calming yet powerful, and I knew from my very first treatment that it was something I wanted to learn and share with others.

Before retraining, I spent over 25 years in the landscaping industry. On paper, moving from gardens to reflexology might sound like a big leap — but in my heart, it feels like a natural progression. Both are about nurturing, creating balance, and helping things thrive. What I loved most about working in gardens wasn’t just transforming outdoor spaces — it was connecting with people, listening to their vision, and being part of something meaningful.

I’ve been fortunate to work on some incredible projects over the years: RHS Chelsea and Hampton Court Show Gardens, television programmes like Love Your Garden with Alan Titchmarsh and Your Garden Made Perfect on Channel 4, as well as major public landscapes such as Jubilee Gardens at the London Eye, and beautiful private gardens across the UK with some jaw dropping budgets.

My love of gardens runs deep — some of my happiest childhood memories are in my nan and grandad’s allotment, digging, sowing, and sharing Sunday lunches made from the food we’d grown ourselves. That connection to nature has always grounded me — hands in the soil, sun on my face, watching things grow — it’s still my favourite way to reset and reconnect.

In 2025, I followed that same nurturing instinct into a new chapter and trained in Reflexology at the London School of Reflexology under Louise Keet, one of the UK’s leading practitioners. From there, Nurturing Touch Reflexology was born.

For me, reflexology is about so much more than feet or hands — it’s about listening, holding space, and helping you tune in to what your body might be trying to tell you. Sometimes I feel a bit like a detective, gently piecing things together and witnessing those beautiful “lightbulb” moments when someone leaves feeling calmer, lighter, or just a little more themselves.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story.
I’d love to welcome you into my garden studio soon — a peaceful space where you can unwind, reconnect, and feel truly nurtured.

What to Expect During Your Treatment

All reflexology treatments are carried out with your comfort, warmth, and privacy in mind. You’ll remain fully clothed throughout the session — only the areas being worked on will be uncovered.

What to Expect During Your Treatment

All reflexology treatments are carried out with your comfort, warmth, and privacy in mind. You’ll remain fully clothed throughout the session — only the areas being worked on will be uncovered.

Foot Reflexology

Only your feet and ankles will be exposed during the session. I may also gently work on the calf muscles to support relaxation and improve circulation, so I recommend wearing something loose and comfortable, especially around the legs.

Hand Reflexology

You’ll simply roll up your sleeves to allow access to your hands and forearms. It’s a wonderfully soothing option if you prefer not to remove shoes or if foot treatments aren’t suitable for you.

Facial Reflexology

You’ll need access to your face and neck only. You’ll remain fully clothed and cocooned under warm, snuggly blankets, allowing you to completely relax as gentle techniques ease tension and promote balance.

Each treatment takes place on a specially designed electric treatment couch which can be heated for your comfort. To enhance your relaxation, I provide soft, fluffy blankets, heated wheat pads, eye masks, and supportive bolsters for extra comfort — creating the perfect environment to unwind and recharge.

Your comfort and sense of safety are always a priority. I take great care to create a calm, nurturing space where you can truly let go, relax, and allow your body’s natural healing energy to flow.

Myths Surrounding Reflexology

There are plenty of myths about when reflexology can or can’t be used. In reality, many people living with various conditions, can still enjoy the benefits of reflexology—often with a few simple adjustments. Unless it’s a listed contraindication, reflexology can usually be safely offered with care, including for those who are pregnant or trying to get pregnant, young or elderly, living with cancer, on medication, or managing conditions like diabetes, epilepsy, thyroid or heart issues. If you’re unsure, feel free to get in touch—treatments can always be tailored to suit your individual needs.

I had a reflexology session with Jennie and found the whole experience incredibly calming and professional. The space was a beautiful set up, peaceful, clean, and inviting, which made it easy to relax from the start. She communicated clearly throughout and checked in to ensure I was comfortable, which I really appreciated. She also noticed areas that seemed to reflect some of the tension I’d been feeling physically, which felt very insightful. I left the session feeling balanced and deeply relaxed. I’ll definitely be returning.
